It was a type of tuna roll but it was crunchy and it had orange stuff drizzled over it. Does anyone know what it's called??? It was crunchy because it was fried or something, and the orange stuff was a sauce, not fish eggs. Sat, Jul. 5th, 2008, 08:53 am

I posted about a month ago asking about Permanent Residence for Spouses. Thank you all for your very helpful range of responses! We hit an unexpected hitch, however, upon reaching Ireland: his parents don't approve of us getting married. Now, I know many will probably feel that as adults we should be making our own decisions, but we are both somewhat traditional in that respect. No parental approval, no wedding. As of this month, we have been living together 4 months. When we come back from Ireland, he will be starting his 6 months visitor's visa, which we will then apply to extend. All the while, we'll continue looking for a job for him. We'll apply for a joint bank account, a joint credit card. . . everything we possibly can do to make our relationship look legitimate on paper. It'll be a bit hard, of course, what with him being unemployed and me working part time at Subway. Has anyone applied for Permanent Resident status through the common law relationship before? What sort of things did you find it important to include in your application? Because we are very low income, there is no way to do a joint mortgage or joint car loans or anything like that. We are living together, but with my parents. Does this still count as "living common-law"? Is it still a "Joint Bank Account" if he isn't really depositing anything into it since he may not be employed, but has a card and access to the funds therein? He will continue looking for work, but the 4 months we have been looking so far have not been very fruitful. Which forms do you use when you are applying as common-law. . . in-Canada or the out of Canada ones? Especially if he is trying also to find work? I am thinking in-Canada? Since we have lived together for 4 months thus far, we will continue to do so for another 8 months and then fill out the forms and send them in. That only gives him 4 months to stay in the country before his visitor's visa expires while we wait for the forms to come back. Does he need to leave the country, in that case? Should he? ETA: There is no way he is looking for, nor am I encouraging him to look for, illegal work in Canada. He would currently be in Canada as a visitor, but would be simultaneously be looking for an employer who would be willing to help him obtain a perfectly legal Canadian work permit. I would never risk deportation. I couldn't live without him! Sat, Jul. 5th, 2008, 11:29 am
Here's a question for you: Do any of you wonderfully polite people remember the question that I posed to you, several posts back, about an episode of Grey's Anatomy? Turns out it was the last episode of Season 2 and the 1st episode of Season 3. I was looking for the one where Izzy is in love with Denny and he has proposed marriage to her. He has just had surgery and ends up dying before she can get back to the hospital to show him her prom dress. All I could remember was that her dress was a pinkish color. Also I didn't know how to find a way to watch it on the internet. So I had that question answered too. Well thanks to all of you who helped me find the episodes, I was able to watch both of them again. And of course, cried like a baby. Anyway, thank you again!!! Sat, Jul. 5th, 2008, 08:30 am
